The wrongly named Sessom Drive Multi-Family Project is on the city council agenda for next Tuesday, June 18. The council meets at City Hall, 6 PM. Since it was denied by the Planning and Zoning Commission by an 8 to 0 vote, to be approved by city council, the zoning change would require a supermajority, that is 6 votes out of 7.
The planning staff, the Parks Board, and P&Z have all recommended denial. After each denial, the project moves on, now to city council. The threat of creating another Sagewood is apparently the only strategy to get passage.

And now for something not so completely different: Some of you may have noticed a Heart and Cross atop Old Main. A fitting tribute to our friend, neighbor and fellow advocate for smart development, and environmental stewardship, Jaimy Breihan.
